We're proud to announce that Honored Knights is once again trying it's hand at raiding semi-regularly.
A regular raid schedule hasn't been figure out yet, but we do hope to at least begin raiding every other weekend, Friday and Saturday nights.

Before we can truly begin this process, everyone needs to be aware of a few things.

First, raid progression is just that: progression. Progression takes time and patience. We have not actively raided since Karazhan a couple of years ago. Since then we have put together a group a handful of times, and as you probably know or can guess, it didn't go as everyone had hoped. This time everyone is better geared and more determined than ever to succeed. And with this great attitude we WILL succeed, but everyone needs to remember that you have to crawl before you can walk and walk before you can run. PLEASE keep this in mind when we are raiding. We are going to start out small and progress as we see fit. We are NOT a hard core raiding guild and never will be. We are going to raid casually according to who fits into our core group and their schedules.

We're going to start with Naxx10 this upcoming Friday and Saturday and next week on Friday/Saturday as well. Our hope is to try that a couple of times until everyone is back into the swing of how everyone works together. If anything, it gets everyone badges they can use for new gear, depending on who goes it might be upgrades for some, and if nothing else you can use the badges for some heirloom gear for alts!

Our progression hopes are this: Try Naxx10 for a few weeks to get back into that feel of raiding, and start doing Ulduar10 for gear for those who need it so we can actively raid ToC10. We are NOT giving this a timeline, as I stated above it depends on who comes along and it takes time and patience, what matters is that we are taking action and raiding again as a guild and have fun with it.

In order to raid with us, you need to ask yourselves this:
--  Are you able to make our raid times of 11:30PM Fridays and Saturdays (and sometimes Sundays, if we have a boss to finish)? We will need a core group but will also need back ups! Even if you think you won't be on until 12:30 or 1am, someone may need to leave early, and instead of quitting we will want to replace the person. Hence why we prefer EVERYONE WHO IS INTERESTED to sign up via the in-game calendar.
Note: Real life always comes first for our guild members, so someone who is in the core group may not be able to come every week, which is why we need everyone to sign up Smiley
-- Are you able to follow directions and follow them well? In order for a raid to run smoothly, you need to be able to listen and follow the directions of the Raid Leader, especially if you don't know the fight or the raid well.
-- Are you willing to do heroics, farming, and anything else necessary to better yourself for the good of the guild's raid progression? If your gear isn't up to par with the raid you're going to, you won't be taken along. I'm sure you've found this true with Gear Score and PUG raids. The same applies here. We will most likely have several people that are grossly overgeared for Naxx10, and do not want people to get into the habit of feeling like they are 'carried' through the raid so that when we do get to a raid that is the same level as our gear is it won't be a shock if we die a few times.
-- You need to be willing to accept several deaths and take them in STRIDE! We ALL have to start some place, and Naxx is where we're starting. Even if we die in NAXX of all places, it's inevitable. People don't understand the fights, someone's internet lagged, whatever the reason: deaths happen. Depending on participation, we could use the guild bank funds (that have been collecting some dust lately ;] ) for repairs. Doing a few dailies or random heroics can easily pay for your repair bills. But please, do not bring a rotten attitude about dying with you to our raids, or you'll find yourself PUGing them with someone else.
PLEASE NOTE::: Every level 80 will be invited via the in-game calendar for the opportunity to sign up for the raids. BY NO MEANS DOES THIS MEAN YOU ARE GUARANTEED AN INVITATION TO THE RAID. Yes, it is a guild raid, so we are taking guild members. BUT, we are taking people who are properly geared, specced and know the fights. This is a must! Raiding is a commitment which also means you need to better yourself so the group as a whole can become better. SO, if you don't get an invite to the raid group but you signed up, please do not be offended!! It could be a number of things but you wouldn't take a fresh 80 into ICC25 now would you? Keep this in mind! Smiley

If you answered yes to any or all of these, you’re definitely set to raid with us. Since we are doing this as a guild, we will never turn you away simply because we could. But you do need to have some coordination as far as fights are concerned and proper gear. This means if you have to read up on fights, you do it. If you have to chain heroics, you do it. We plan on putting up some information and videos on Naxx and Ulduar fights here on the website for everyone’s benefit.

LOOTING in HK RAIDS
Our looting rules are very simple. First rolls on an item go for main spec. If no one rolls on the item, it goes to roll for off spec. If after no one rolls for main spec and off spec, we will then disenchant the item.
When we go to Naxx, a lot of things might be disenchanted due to the newer Triumph badge gear being a much higher item level than what comes out of Naxx.
Any items that are disenchanted in our raids go to the guild bank. This way if a member is needing enchants, you simply ask and we can get the mats out of the bank for you. This also gives everyone a chance to benefit from these items instead of rolling on the DE mats.

RAIDING ETIQUETTE
These are the things we need you to follow while raiding with us. Almost all are common sense, but we still need to put these out there for the people who have never raided with us before. Always heed these while in our group.

--Sign up for raids, even if you aren’t sure if you can make the time. People can’t always make it, even those in the core group. We will need people who can be replacements.
-- Read up on strategies and watch videos. There are several different places that have different strategies, videos and information on instances. The more you know about the raid you’re going to, the better the chance we have to finishing the raid with less deaths. We will also post information on here for some fights.

--Be prepared. Have your flasks, elixirs and potions; stat food and bandages in your inventory at all times so you don’t need to remember to run to the bank before the raid invites go out. Have all your armor repaired and possible off-spec gear in your inventory as well. When invites start, you shouldn’t be running around finishing enchants or getting items out of your bank. We expect you to be ready and willing to accept a summon(if necessary) the minute you receive your raid invite.

-- Plan ahead. Get your enchants, new gear and items, make stat food and elixirs all at least 15-30 minutes before raid invites go out. This way you give yourself plenty of time to get done what you need before heading to the instance. If you can get to the meeting stone before invites, PLEASE do so. The more at the stone before invites, the less time we have to wait to get people summons.  If you can’t finish whatever you’re doing within 15 minutes before invites go out, simply save it for after the raid.

-- Pay attention. Please listen when we’re explaining fights to you, especially if you haven’t looked up anything on the fight. Specifically, if you are DPS you need to pay attention because you can’t always just run in. Please take a look at the bigger picture and not as close attention to your DPS meter. This will help the entire raid.

-- Have fun, but keep goofing around to a minimum. There’s a time and place for goofing around during a raid and generally that’s during a brief AFK or bio break. Otherwise we expect you to be on your toes and paying attention. If the Raid Leader is speaking, Vent AND Raid Chat needs to be completely clear so everyone can understand the instructions being given. This is a MUST and there are NO exceptions.

-- HK and AFK’s. Everyone needs an AFK or small breaks during the raid. We will never deny you bio or AFK breaks. But, there are times when things come up (family agro, phone rings, etc.) and you need an unexpected AFK. If this happens, PLEASE do everyone a favor and don’t just say “afk or brb one sec”. This gives us no time frame and/or reason as to why you’re AFK. Please say that you need an AFK and a brief reason why (don’t need dirty details, ; example being “AFK bio”. This lets us know that you’ll only be a few minutes. “One sec” is not a time frame! So, in short, if you need an AFK, please give us some idea as to what it’s for so we have an idea of how long you’ll be gone, this way if you cannot come back we can replace you.

-- Use common sense. Please treat others the way you’d want to be treated and follow all these instructions. And please remember if you think it’s wasting your time, it’s wasting others as well!

In closing, we are raiding for FUN and for us as a guild. We are not hard core, we are casually raiding. Please heed all instructions, tips and suggestions listed here, they will help you and all of us in the long run for a better raiding experience.

Woo! Glad to see HK returning to its former glory again. Friday and Saturday nights are the absolute PERFECT times as I'm currently on a Sunday-Thursday third shift schedule. This means I'm not only available on Friday and Saturday nights, I'm also the most awake at that time (as it's the time I'm working the rest of the week).

Also, I sign this in agreement of what is expected for raids. Smiley I only wish I could've come last weekend.
